Kevin Clarke wurde 1953 in New York geboren. Er studierte an der Cooper Union und verbrachte anschließend vier Jahre mit konzeptuellen Fotografieprojekten in Deutschland und der Schweiz. Clarke publizierte Fotobände wie "Kunst und Medien" (über die Documenta 6) und "Kaufhauswelt" (über das KaDeWe). Bekanntheit erlangte er mit "The Red Couch, A Portrait of America".#

Mit "From the Blood of the Poets" und "The Invisible Body" schuf er neue konzeptuelle Arbeiten, Porträtserien von Künstlern und Wissenschaftlern auf der Grundlage genetischer Analyse, der Chromosome und der DNA.#

Unsere Ausstellung "New Circles" zeigt neue Arbeiten des Künstlers – und eine Rückblende.#

Kevin Clarke was born in 1953 in New York. He studied at Cooper Union then and lived in Germany and Switzerland for four years creating conceptual photography projects. Clarke published photography books "Kunst und Medien" (Art and Media) about the Documenta 6 and "Kaufhauswelt" (Department Store World) about the KaDeWe in Berlin. He became widely popular through publication of "The Red Couch, A Portrait of America".#

He returned to the conceptual with "From the Blood of Poets" and "The Invisible Body", series of portraits of artists, scientists, and others using the basis of genetic analysis, chromosomes and DNA.#
